キリスト教徒が、カリフォルニア州のニューサム知事を、複数の郡で屋内でのミサや聖書学習会を禁止したとして提訴した。
ハーベスト・ロック教会と牧師らは、禁止は新型コロナウイルスの拡大を阻止するためのものだが、違憲だと主張、裁判所に差し止めを要求し、信徒らが集まることができるようにし、州から処罰を受けることのないよう求めた。
18日に提出された訴状は、「知事は、原告の教会に集まることができる人の数を一方的、大幅に制限したが、カリフォルニア中の都市に集まった無数の抗議デモ参加者には制限を課しておらず、・・・
